Now based in Melbourne following many years in NYC, Monique diMattina’s versatile talents have seen her release seven albums spanning neo-classical/jazz/roots genres – her latest TIDES for solo piano released in Feb 2021. Monique performs in many formats with artists such as Rebecca Barnard, Clare Bowditch, Harry James Angus and Deborah Conway and is known for her Triple R and ABC Radio segment writing bespoke songs to listener requests. She is a Fulbright scholar, Yamaha artist and mother of two, and teaches in the Monash and Melbourne University Jazz departments.
At The Count’s, Monash, Monique will be joined by long time collaborator James Sherlock on guitar, with a varied program including original songs, works from her 2021 album TIDES and Gershwin’s epic, iconic Rhapsody in Blue.
