The Planets
with Laura the Astronaut

The Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts

$15

Past Event

Join Laura the astronaut as she meets the characters of Gustav Holst’s The Planets: Mars the bringer of war, Mercury the winged messenger, and Jupiter the bringer of jollity. Laura’s musical journey is going smoothly, until her spaceship flies into a black hole. Suddenly she can’t work out where she is in space or how to find home!

Inventi Ensemble, leading presenters of chamber music for children, play an exciting arrangement of The Planets, set against a lively animated backdrop created by James Josephides, in this narrated concert about cosmic adventurer Laura the astronaut. Along with new works composed by Johannes Luebbers.
