Tim Chen is a registered pharmacist with experience in clinical hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy and academia. Tim is an experienced educator and passionate teacher, highly regarded for his teaching and research in medication management and mental health.
His work in medication review directly informed the Commonwealth Government funded Home Medicines Review programme (MBS item 900). For this work, Tim was awarded of Young Australian Pharmacist of the Year (2001), by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia.
Over his academic career, Tim has served as the programme coordinator for The University of Sydney Graduate Master of Pharmacy degree (2008-2013), coordinated 10 units of study and taught into 16 units of study.
Tim is a health services researcher who uses both qualitative methods and quantitative methods. With his team, Tim has published >120 papers, in leading pharmacy, education, clinical pharmacology, and psychiatry journals (Scopus H-Index 25, Google Scholar H-index 33).
Tim is an editorial board member for three international journals and is currently President of the Social and Administrative Pharmacy Section (2014-2018), FIP.
