Policies

Photography and media policy

MPGPCR encourages the dissemination of unpublished research. Audio, still photo and video recording by any device (e.g., cameras, laptops, PDAs, cell phones, watches) is strictly prohibited during scientific sessions, unless in certain circumstances when prior permission must be obtained from MPGPCR. Photographs should not be taken of posters and/or slides without the express permission of the presenter/author. Participants may be photographed during networking events including poster sessions for the purposes of promoting MPGPCR or sponsors on social media. We request that the details of unpublished research shared by presenters are not shared via social media platforms.

Harassment policy

MPGPCR is dedicated to providing a friendly, safe and inspiring conference experience for everyone involved. Every individual at our meeting and associated social events (including attendees, volunteers and staff) has the right to feel safe and respected at all times. We do not tolerate harassment or bullying in any form.

Harassment is defined as unwelcome and offensive comments or behaviour directed to the participant's sex, race, colour, national origin, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity, disability, or other status protected under applicable law. Harassment can include, but is not limited to: unwelcome attention, comments or jokes that focus on gender differences or sexual topics and that distract from the professional topics under discussion, unwelcome advances or requests for dates or sexual activities, and the use of language or images (including presentation slides) that demean or degrade persons of particular gender, racial, ethnic, religious or national identity.

We expect all participants to support these values, exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions, and avoid harassment of other participants. We expect all participants to assist in ensuring MPGPCR and associated events are free from harassment. Anyone who has experienced, or witnessed, harassment should notify a member of the organising committee as soon as possible, MPGPCR.Conference@monash.edu.

Individuals associated with MPGPCR who engage in inappropriate behaviour that contravenes this policy may be warned, or removed from the session/event, or excluded from participating in future MPGPCR meetings.
