Dr Elizabeth Yuriev receives Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence

Dr Elizabeth Yuriev has been awarded the prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence in a ceremony held at Monash House on Monday 14 November.
The award, presented by President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Margaret Gardner AO, recognises Elizabeth’s teaching contributions to pharmacy and pharmaceutical science education.
Elizabeth’s career focus is on innovations to improve learning and teaching of employability skills, with an emphasis on skill development in problem solving, collaboration, and study skills. Her achievements in education innovation have been recognised with numerous awards in the last ten years: from her students, her peers at Monash, and nationally with a Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning (The Australian Learning and Teaching Council, 2008).
She was awarded a Monash Teacher Accelerator award in 2016 and is influencing the quality of pharmaceutical science education through her scholarly research, mentoring, presentations and publications.
