Alison Thistlethwaite is a Senior Research Officer with the Chem-Analytical section of the Centre for Drug Candidate Optimisation (CDCO). She has a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and a Masters of Medical Science in Drug Development. Since joining the CDCO in 2005, Alison has worked as a senior scientist within the Chemistry function as well as contributing in assay automation and project coordination roles. Alison currently leads the Screening function within the Chem-Analytical team, encompassing preliminary physicochemical and metabolic stability evaluations of new drug candidates. She most enjoys the ability to work on projects with diverse collaborators and contributing to the Centre's goal of achieving real clinical objectives.
