Biography:

Kasiram Katneni is a Research Officer within the Biopharmaceutics Section of the Centre for Drug Candidate Optimisation (CDCO).  Kasiram specializes in pre-clinical DMPK and has more than 12 years' experience in preclinical drug discovery and development. He worked as a Senior Research Associate  in  Dr.  Reddy's Research Foundation (Hyderabad, India) before moving to Australia where he completed his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University. Kasiram joined the CDCO in 2007. His role focusses on defining the in vitro ADME properties of new  drug  candidates,  including permeability, metabolism and drug-drug interactions. He has been involved in the development of reliable in vitro screening methods and supported preclinical optimization efforts across different drug discovery projects. Kasiram enjoys working on projects across different therapeutic  areas  and  seeing the direct impact resulting from work for neglected diseases. Outside of work, his interests include going to the gym, listening to music, reading and cooking.
