10th Annual Postgraduate Research Symposium
The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, together with the Parkville Postgraduate Association, invites you to attend the 10th Annual Postgraduate Research Symposium.
The main focus of the symposium will be to give postgraduate students a platform to explain their current research to other students and academic staff whilst improving their public speaking and presentation skills. We hope to foster an inclusive 'research atmosphere' in the faculty, both within the postgraduate student body and among academic staff, by providing this opportunity to learn more about specific research being undertaken outside individual labs and departments. Student presentations will be judged by a panel of Postdocs, with monetary prizes given for outstanding work.
There will be several sessions of free communication in the form of poster and oral presentations. The Plenary Speaker will share their knowledge and experience during the key note seminar.
Attendance is free and the faculty invites you to join colleagues and presenters for refreshments afterwards.
Date: 1 October 2015
Venue: Lecture theatre 2 for oral presentations and Cossar hall for poster presentations
Guest speaker: Professor Andrew B. Holmes, University of Melbourne
Attendance is compulsory for all higher degrees by Research and Honours students.
