2006 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholar

Madelaine Hong Hieu Nguyen's Vietnam Journey

After being awarded the Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship at the Prize Giving Ceremony in April 2006, Pharmacy Practice Staff and associates from the Macfarlane Burnett Instiute for Medical Research worked closely with Madelaine to formulate her proposed project.

Madelaine left Melbourne for Vietnam on November 16, 2006, shortly after her final exam and spent 52 days in Vietnam carrying out her proposed project and helping to keep Mathew's memory alive and continue his ideals - a commitment to international health issues.
