From Mixed Tenure Development to Mixed Tenure Neighbourhoods

This project is led by Dr Lee-Anne Khor and Dr Elizabeth Taylor in partnership with Swinburne University of Technology, and Curtin University.  This research identifies opportunities for increasing the quality, diversity, and frequency of mixed tenure developments, incorporating a range of affordable housing products, across metropolitan areas in four states (Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales).

The New Normal: Has Covid-19 Changed Patterns of Dwelling Demand & Supply?

This project is led by Curtin University in collaboration with Dr Elizabeth Taylor (Chief Investigator). Recent dwelling price and rent increases, and incentive-driven housing supply growth have changed housing markets. But are these just temporary, artificial outcomes, or has COVID-19 changed the housing market for good? This project will develop a detailed understanding of how consumer preferences and decisions have changed as a result of COVID-19 and if these new patterns are likely to persist in the long run.
