Michael Farrell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, and Associate Director (Academic) of Monash Biomedical Imaging. He undertakes research into how sensations from inside the body (interoception) are represented in the human brain, and how the brain controls the autonomic and behavioural responses that contribute to regulation of the internal milieu.
