DNA/RNA Sizing and QC

The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer is a microfluidics platform for the sizing and quantitation of DNA, RNA and protein. It is accurate, reproducible and sensitive, allowing the examination very small quantities of your sample (down to 50pg in 1uL). Consequently, it has become the industry standard for RNA analysis as evidenced by nearly 15,000 journal article citations. You will receive an easy-to-read report (PDF) containing an electropherogram and a simulated gel image. We also provide a data file that can be analyzed using Agilent's Bioanayzer Expert software (available from Micromon Genomics). Unlike traditional electrophoresis, this allows you to directly compare and overlay different data sets quickly and easily.

The Agilent 5200 Fragment Analyzer performs the same functions as the Bioanalyzer but is a capillary array type high-throughput instrument.

For both instruments, please deliver at least 3 μL of each of sample to our facility and label your tubes according to your online submission details.

Pricing

Bioanalyzer

The Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100 uses single-use disposable chips to analyse batches of samples; either 11 or 12 at a time (depending on the chip type). Because the chips are completely consumed during the analysis, the final price charged applies to a complete sample batch. However, we can process fewer samples if required. Contact us if you need a price quote before you submit your samples. The cost of your request is shown in iLab at the completion of the service.

Fragment Analyzer

As this instrument is a high-throughput device using a capillary array, our price structure is based on a continuous volume discount - the more samples you have, the lower the processing price per sample.
