REAL-TIME COLOURING AND FILTERING OF DATA
shwirl realises the need to mimic the immediate action-response of old-fashioned electronic dials and knobs, in the volumetric visualisation space. Parallel GPU compute shaders are used in real-time to colour volumes to produce novel and informative 3-d visualisations. Changes are instantly reflected on screen, as keeping the computer(s) Out Of The Way.
