VBS3 IN CAVE2 USING REALTIME FRAME GRABBING
VBS3-360XR brings the software VBS Blue IG™ and Virtual Battlespace 3™, to the CAVE2. With video output from the high-performance compute cluster captured by the rendering cluster and streamed in real-time, along with user inputs, to the 84 million pixel display system, the software platform leverages the full power of the GPU cluster to simulate the conditions of any given scenario across the entire planet. Effectively a finite-state machine at global scale, simulations in this configuration can be used to model a potentially unlimited set of verifiable and repeatable experimental variables that are otherwise unavailable to ethical researchers.
