The Proteomics & Metabolomics Platform provides various modes of access: collaborative research, fee for service, instrument access, and consultancies. Our services are available beyond researchers at Monash University but also to other institutions and commercial industries, including pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
At DTI, we have established and validated custom-workflows tailored for high quality metabolomics and proteomics studies. Our instruments and untargeted workflows are optimised to maximise coverage and sensitivity. In addition to our global ‘omics approaches, we are specialists in fully quantitative and semi-quantitative methodologies. This enables our research to converge on specific classes of biomedically relevant target compounds or protein with exceptional accuracy, resolution and quality. The full service provided at our platform is comprehensive and detailed from initial consultation through to sample preparation, data acquisition and analysis.
We collaborate with academic investigators from Australian and international institutes for drug target and biomarker identification projects aimed to expand biomedical research and innovation. Collaborative projects are run on a partly-subsidized cost-recovery basis, and pilot and preliminary studies can be discussed to substantiate grant applications. Please contact us to explore the potential of omics to reveal the target, mechanisms or biomarkers for your most promising intervention using Monash Drug Target Identification.
At our Parkville site, we perform full-service routine or specialised metabolomics and proteomics studies for academic or commercial clients at competitive rates. To view our comprehensive list of services available please visit here.
Access to our state-of-the-art mass spectrometry instruments can be arranged for expert users. To view our comprehensive list of instrumentation please visit here
Our experts here at DTI are able to help you with your research needs. We can advise on feasibility of studies, method development, analytical modalities and advise future directions of research related to target deconvolution and biomarker identification. Contact us to schedule a one-on-one discussion – consults are available to all Monash students and staff and other public and private research organisations.
The Drug Target Identification team provide the following expertise - Discovery Proteomics including Post-translational Modifications, Protein-Protein Interactions, Drug Target Identification using proteomics approaches, Native Protein Mass spectrometry, Untargeted profile screening (metabolomics/lipidomics), Targeted profiling panels, Quantitative bioanalysis and Stable Isotope Tracing.
