SCI3990 Science in action research project
An individual research project in a discipline relating to a major area of study, conducted under supervision. Includes critical literature review, experimental design and data analysis, seminar attendance. You must maintain regular contact with supervisor(s) and subject coordinator.

SCI3930 Career skills for scientists
This unit uses work-related activities to enhance transferable skills including commercial awareness, leadership, teamwork, and communication. Through scenarios and creative problem solving activities you will learn the nuts and bolts of the business environment. You will self-assess your skills against what employers look for, write a CV and job application that will make you stand out, learn how to build your network, and how to present yourself professionally. This unit is offered in Semesters 1 and 2.
