How do I choose my major?
As a first year Science student, you’ll need to study at least two level one (first year) sequences in the same discipline which lead to a major. Check out the level one sequences and how they work here.
- When do I choose my major?
If you’re not sure, you don’t have to choose your major straight away. Pick a couple of sequences in areas you like, which will open up your options later down the track. If you change your mind, that’s okay too!
Yes, you can! This is easily achievable in the BSc and an in-built requirement for the BSc Advanced – Research.
- What if I want to change my major later? Can I get help in choosing my subjects and major/s?
Absolutely! Lots of students change their majors. Monash Science Student Services can give you specialist course advice and help.
