Join us for an evening webinar on the science of ageing and how your diet might be the secret to a healthy and long life.

Dr Matt Piper will explain why we age and the science behind it. .Matt will also explain how your diet may hold the key to a long life and how various nutrients in food can impact the ability of individuals to live longer.

He will talk about recent discoveries and his latest research, which shows how dietary protein plays a role in shaping appetite and lifelong health.

He will walk you through some of the scientific evidence on famous dieting and calorie restriction methods and how they impact the metabolism of the cells in the body and explain if they are fab or fad.

Dr Matt Piper is a Senior Lecturer at the School or Biological Science and heads the Nutritional Physiology and Ageing Research Group at Monash. His research focuses on the effects of diet on ageing – in particular the role of protein and the ways in which it modifies health throughout the life course. Knowledge of this area will help us to understand how nutrient balance can be employed to enhance adult health, appetite and longevity.
