Researcher Profile

As an education-focussed academic, my research interests focus on the scholarship of teaching and learning in tertiary science.  My specific areas of educational research include the following:

  • Inquiry-oriented learning and development of objective assessment of student practical skills;
  • Peer-assisted learning practices to improve student understanding and enhance the development of generic skills;
  • Strengthening alignment of curricula and student skills development between secondary and tertiary settings;
  • The use and effectiveness of information and communication technologies in enhancing tertiary science education;
  • Development, implementation and evaluation of academic mentorship programs;
  • Work integrated learning in the sciences.
