During the lockdown, many of us turned to walking and running as an escape from our four walls to keep active. As Victoria reopens and summer approaches - life will likely become busier.

Monash Sport is here to help you stay accountable and motivated in your running/walking training. Join us for a 5km or 10km virtual walk or run on Wednesday 1 December with a 5-week training program provided by us to get you prepared for the event day!

As this is a virtual event, you can head to your favourite location to complete this event and join our Monash Sport Strava Club for training tips and motivation in the lead up to and on the event day. Message the Monash Sport team with any questions about training or for the event.

How it works:

1. Register via our link.

2. Join our Monash Sport Strava Club.

3. Share your journey with us via our social media and Strava club pages.

We encourage you to join Monash Sport's Strava Club to get connected with other participants and to help you stay motivated with your training in the lead-up to the Summer Sun Run. If you prefer not to use Strava, you can still participate on the day by using your preferred device or activity tracking app.

There will be no ranking system, instead, people can submit their times for posting (in alphabetical order) on this webpage after the event. You will have until 11:59pm on the same day to complete your chosen event and upload your results.
