General Q & A
Monash Sport looks forward to welcoming back our community in a measured approach to assist in returning to a COVID normal. To assist in the recommencement of Monash Sport operations, we encourage you to view our general Q&A below and check back to this webpage for future updates. Increased cleaning will occur at the conclusion of each session (this includes all high traffic areas). Increased hygiene measures for staff and patrons will be required, including good hand hygiene. We ask you to exit the facility in a timely manner to assist in this process.
Everyone entering a Monash Sport building will be required to swipe their Monash ID card (M-Pass) at the entrance doors or scan the QR code displayed and follow the prompts before proceeding to their workout.
Fitness Centre and Group Fitness Q & A
We are delighted to reopen our Fitness Centres and Group Fitness classes to members. Please be aware that certain equipment within the Fitness Centre is not available, to comply with hygiene practices and to allow for physical distancing. Our Group Fitness classes are available to on a visit by booking basis
Memberships have now been reactivated. Please check your member emails for more information. We are not currently taking casual bookings for our Fitness Centres or Group Fitness Classes.
Aquatics Q & A
The health, safety and wellbeing of the community is our top priority so please maintain physical distancing measures of at least 1.5 metres when you arrive for your swim and throughout your visit. In addition, a face mask must be worn before and after your swim. All visits are by booking only. As members, Learn to Swim members can book a casual swim at the $5 member rate. Facility access is via the Doug Ellis Swimming Pool main entrance only at 36 Scenic Boulevard. No access will be available through Monash Sport main facility.
The Doug Ellis Swim Shop will be open for purchases through contactless card payments only. Trying on goggles and swimwear will be unavailable.
Court Hire & outdoor facilities Q & A
In line with the further easing of restrictions, we are now taking bookings for indoor and outdoor venues (all ages). Capacity limits and conditions apply and this will require protocols and approved return to play plans for all groups. For more information on venue bookings please contact us.
