Phillip Island is home to a colony of little penguins that emerge from the surf every evening at sunset and waddle across the beach at the Penguin Parade. This full day tour includes a visit to the township of Cowes for lunch in a restaurant, nature walks with stunning scenery and meeting ‘up close’ some of the local furry residents such as kangaroos, koalas, wombats, emus and many more, including the worlds’ smallest (and cutest) penguins.
Footage in this video is from our February trip to Enchanted Gardens and Moonlit Sanctuary on the Mornington Peninsula. These locations are not included in our July trip.

Registration and payment
Confirmation and itinerary
You'll receive confirmation of your booking immediately after payment has been received.
You'll receive a detailed itinerary two days before the trip which will confirm meeting time, pick up location, your guide's name, an emergency contact and allocated bus number for your trip.
As a general guide, buses will depart campus mid-morning and will return at approximately 9pm. For operational reasons, bus swaps won't be allowed.
What to bring
Check the weather conditions closer to the day and dress appropriately. We recommend that you bring warm clothes as it can get very cold at the Penguin Parade once the sun goes down.
You should bring:
- appropriate footwear (no sandals or flip flops)
Lunch is provided, however we recommend that you bring your own morning and afternoon tea, as well as drinking water. You may also want to bring some spending money as there will be opportunities for you to purchase snacks and souvenirs.
Don’t forget your camera as there will be lots of photo opportunities throughout the day. Photography is not allowed in the Penguin Parade.
Once we've received your booking and you have a confirmation email, the booking is non-refundable and no bus swaps will be allowed. You may be able to transfer your booking to another Monash student if you're no longer able to attend but all transfers must be registered with the booking operator.
No ticket transfers will be allowed after registrations have closed.
