Student wins national planning award

Recent MADA Master of Urban Planning and Design graduate Giselle Osborne took home the Outstanding Student Project Award at the 2021 National Awards for Planning Excellence.

Hosted by Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) on 24 May, the awards were part of the 2021 Planning Festival, celebrating planning ideas, leadership and collaboration.

Entitled 'Rewilding Industrial Land', Osborne's project is a strategy to build biodiverse green infrastructure in metropolitan Melbourne/Naarm, and offers an alternative path forward for biodiversity planning.
