Bandy is sport predominately played in Scandinavian countries and therefore this was a completely new experience. With nearly 20,000 screaming Swedes in attendance, SAIK defeated Villa 6-5 in a thrilling match that went down to the last minute! – Anthony Langford.

Dogsledding is a way of life in the Lapland region of Sweden. In temperatures that reached well below zero degrees, the dogs sped through the snow covered tracks. With one person steering and controlling the sled and the other seated somewhat comfortably at the front, the ride was one that I will never forget – Anthony Langford.

Teaching on practicum, overseas, provides for a convergence of many new experiences and challenges. This amazing sunset was recorded after school. Some experiences overseas are just as much about the environment as the people and practices.

Gullfoss is arguably Iceland's most famous waterfall, and for good reason. With a double cascade 32 meter drop into the Hvítá river in southwest Iceland, the sight was spectacular. There is no other place in the world where I could have experienced such beauty – Anthony Langford.

On a day trip to Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna from King's College London, I stumbled across an elderly lady feeding some nuts to an adorable red squirrel. I had only seen grey squirrels scurrying through London – the introduction of grey squirrels in England caused a rapid decline in the red squirrel population, so I was lucky to see one in Vienna of all places. I crept up slowly to take a sneaky photo and the lady gave me the rest of her nuts so I could feed the little guy.

A two-week study trip to Russia. Moscow was like no other city I've ever seen. Pussy Riot had just been arrested and I ogled Lenin's waxified body. After spending time with students there I learnt some scary things about Russian politics I'd never read about at home – Shannon Brick.
