Global Intercampus Program Malaysia Package
Selamat Datang! Our Malaysian campus wants to welcome more Monash Australia students on the Global Intercampus Program, so they're offering an amazing package of benefits to help get you there.
A great opportunity
The Malaysian campus is located in Bandar Sunway, about 18 kilometres from central Kuala Lumpur. A popular tourist destination, Kuala Lumpur has a rich blend of cultural and ethnic diversity. The weather is tropical, with an average temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.
Malaysia is the gateway to southeast Asia, with Indonesia to the south, and Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam to the north/northeast. Flights between Singapore or Kuala Lumpur and other Asian countries are relatively cheap, meaning you can see a lot of the region while studying at Monash.

What you'll get
The Malaysia Package is for all students participating in the Global Intercampus Program, except Malaysian Citizens or students receiving a government grant (e.g. New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant).
- an AUD $2,500 Monash Abroad Travel Grant (as specified above);
- a Monash Malaysia Grant of approximately AUD $1,130 (MYR 3,500) to cover the cost of housing.
This is a popular program, so in the event that there are more applications than places available, packages will be awarded based on academic performance.
How to apply
You don't need to apply for the Malaysia package – you'll be automatically considered based on your Monash Abroad application.
Please speak with your Global Intercampus Program Coordinator if you have any questions.
