Apply via the Monash Abroad Portal
If you are applying for a study overseas program with Monash Abroad, it is most likely that you will be submitting your application on the Monash Abroad Portal (MAP).
MAP is an online application platform where you apply to your chosen program by responding to and submitting a series of questionnaires electronically.
You can begin your application by visiting the brochure page for the program you are interested in applying for, selecting the application tab and clicking the 'Apply now' button.
You will then need to log into MAP - if you are logging into MAP for the first time, ensure that you select 'I am logging in as a Monash University student', and then select the period you wish to apply for.
If you have logged into MAP before with your Monash account, you can visit the MAP portal home page and click 'LOGIN/REGISTER' in the top right-hand corner of the page. Once you have logged in with your student account, MAP will take you to your profile page.
You will then be able to access the MAP questionnaire for your program. This means you can go through all of the questionnaires and provide your responses. There is more information available in the individual questionnaires about filling them in correctly.
Ensure that you start your MAP application well in advance of the deadline as some questionnaires may take more time to provide responses for, such as the course progression check, the study plan (for relevant programs), and the personal statement (for relevant programs).
Submitting your application on MAP
Once you have responded to and submitted all the individual questionnaires (they should all have a tick next to them) and are happy with your responses, click the 'Submit application' button at the top of the page. Provided you have submitted before the deadline, your application will then be sent to the relevant Monash Abroad and faculty coordinators.
We advise checking your Monash email regularly, as this is how we will notify you of updates to your application.
Troubleshooting on MAP
If you encounter a technical issue on MAP, firstly check whether it has been explained in our video channel dedicated to MAP. We currently have a video on what to do if you have accidentally submitted one of your questionnaires.
If your technical issue is not addressed in the above video channel, please get in contact with us at email@example.com with details about the issue and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible. Please be mindful that the days leading up to the application deadline are a peak time for enquiries, so we suggest getting in contact as soon as you are aware of the issue.
