Apply on the Monash Abroad Portal (MAP)

Applications on MAP opened on 17 May. Ensure you submit yours by the deadline of Thursday, 17 June (11:59pm AEST, 9:59pm MYT). As part of your application, you will be required to request course advice and academic approval from your faculty using the “Monash Course Advice Form".
Register with Penn State

Monash Abroad will provide successful applicants with details on how to register with Penn State World Campus as part of the acceptance email on 21 June. You will submit three course preferences you would like to study as part of your registration.
Complete the Connecting Across Cultures module

Complete the Connecting Across Cultures module from Monash's Leap into Leadership program, as this is a requirement for receiving credit towards your Monash degree.
Confirm your enrolment with Monash

Liaise with your faculty to enrol in the relevant exchange unit by 26 July .
Prepare for study

Ensure that you schedule your other Monash units for the semester so that you have sufficient time for your course at Penn State, noting that classes will be running on Penn State's academic calendar beginning August 23 and ending December 10. While the timing of your course's lectures may or may not be suitable to join in real time, World Campus has been designed to accommodate students in a range of time zones so you can still be engaged from wherever you are in the world.
Commence your studies

Join your new class at Penn State online to begin your studies!
Transfer your credit to your Monash degree

After you complete your course, you will receive a transcript from Penn State, which you can use to gain credit for this course from your faculty. Once transferred, the course you have completed will appear on your Monash transcript as Satisfied Faculty Requirements (SFR) or Not Satisfied Requirements (NSR).
