Your qualification will be a Master of Advanced Medical Imaging Practice
This specialisation is designed for radiographers and nuclear medicine technologists wanting to progress to advanced practice roles in advanced modality-based imaging (CT, MRI, X-ray), clinical leadership and education.
The advanced medical imaging specialisation provides the opportunity to complete advanced specialist study through a research project or coursework. Areas of study include advanced CT, MRI, image interpretation, patient assessment, hybrid and molecular imaging, data management and health informatics, clinical leadership and education.
This course is delivered fully online, ideally suited for working radiographers or medical imaging professionals.
Depending on prior qualifications:
Entry level 1: Duration: 1.5 years full-time, 3 years part-time (72 points to complete) An Australian Bachelor Degree in a cognate discipline (or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution) with a 60% credit average or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent. AND Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent accredited Professional Registration Body. AND |
Entry level 2: Duration: 1 year full-time, 2 years part-time (48 points) A four year Australian Bachelor Degree in the cognate discipline (or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution) with a 60% credit average, or qualification/ experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent. Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent accredited Professional Registration Body. A minimum of two years equivalent full time experience in the cognate discipline and evidence of current engagement in Clinical Practice in area of specialisation. |
