Global health

This specialisation provides a broad overview into public health issues and healthcare needs in low- and middle-income countries. It will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of health promotion and healthcare systems and the implementation of prevention strategies for communicable and non-communicable diseases in resource-limited settings. Graduates with these skills are well placed to work on research or health projects around the world, but especially in developing countries. The global health stream will prepare graduates to work in government, global health advocacy organisations, aid organisations and research institutes that engage in global health work.
