All applicants must satisfy the following prerequisites or their equivalents.
Australian VCE subjects
Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in English other than EAL
Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 22 in Mathematical Methods (any) or Specialist Mathematics, or a score of at least 25 in Further Mathematics
Monash minimum: Level 1, that is: At least 4 in English SL or 3 in English HL or 5 in English B SL or 4 in English B HL
Level 2, that is: At least 4 in Mathematics SL or 3 in Mathematics HL or 3 in Further Mathematics HL or 4 in Math Studies SL
All applicants must satisfy the equivalence of the VCE subject prerequisites.
University: Two single units at an Australian higher education institution satisfy minimum entry requirements if the student has not undertaken a formal program of study at or above VCE Yr 12 (or equivalent), but more units may be useful for selection, especially in areas of study related to the course in which admission is being sought. Applicants should have at least a 60% average in their studies. Students with a complete or partially complete Bachelor qualification will be considered for entry.
TAFE/VET: Graded AQF Diplomas will be considered for entry into this course. Admission will be based on academic merit and applicants should have at least a minimum average of 60%. Ungraded (competent/not competent) diplomas will not be considered. Qualifications below diploma level will not meet the entry requirements (e.g. Cert IV).
