The program requires students to develop a comprehensive written proposal that outlines their proposed project, places the research within the context of the scholarly literature and outlines the proposed methodology. Students will be examined entirely on the basis of the written paper, unlike the Master of Fine Arts or Master of Design, which focus on visual work. The thesis should be between 30,000 and 40,000 words.
