Professional development short course

The short course examines the principles and practices associated with interpreting in education settings. The short course is composed of presentations from experts in the education field and experienced interpreters, and practical interpreting exercises to establish best practice when working in this field.

These professional development short courses are run with the support of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, State Government of Victoria.

Students may also apply for a bursary which allows for a heavily discounted enrolment fee in cases of financial hardship. Bursary applicants must satisfy the criteria to be considered. The cut-off date for bursary applications is 7 days before the course start date.

Assessment:

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be eligible to earn 10 PD points towards recertification (Section 1.4 of the NAATI Recertification Professional Development Catalogue). A Certificate of Completion will be awarded.

Recognition:

Upon completion of the course, participants will be eligible to claim up to 40 PD points towards recertification (Section 1.2 or 1.3 of the NAATI Recertification Catalogue). A Certificate of Completion will be awarded.
