Professional development short course

The PD workshop examines the ethical complexities of the interpreter’s work in relation to the AUSIT Code of Ethics, as well as the ASLIA Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. The workshop analyses ethical concepts, their practical application to interpreting work, and best practice for interpreters in ethically challenging scenarios.

This professional development short course is supported by the Department of Premier and Cabinet, State Government of Victoria.

Students may also apply for a bursary which allows for a heavily discounted enrolment fee in cases of financial hardship. Bursary applicants must satisfy the criteria to be considered. The cut-off date for bursary applications is 7 days before the course start date.

Assessment:

Your presenter will identify a variety of practical tasks during the course.

Recognition:

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be eligible to earn 10 PD points towards recertification (Section 2.20 of NAATI Recertification PD Catalogue). A Certificate of Completion will be awarded.
