Family Violence Interpreting Level 2

Professional development short course

This short course is a continuation of Family Violence Interpreting Entry-Level 1, and extends the concepts and skills established in that workshop. This short course is intended for interpreters who have commenced working or who plan to work in settings involving cases of family violence. The course provides various facets which looks at legal, health and service provision settings within the family violence context in detail. The course features presentations from experts as well as industry professionals.

These professional development short courses are run with the support of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, State Government of Victoria.

Students may also apply for a bursary which allows for a heavily discounted enrolment fee in certain cases. Bursary applicants must be NAATI members and satisfy all the criteria to be considered. The cut-off date for bursary applications is 7 days before the course start date.

Your presenter will identify a variety of practical tasks during the course.

Recognition:

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be eligible to earn 20 PD points towards recertification (Section 1.4 of the NAATI Recertification Professional Development Catalogue). A Certificate of Completion will be awarded.
