The Master of Banking and Finance will help you break into the banking or finance industry, even if you are new to it. You’ll gain a thorough understanding of the banking and finance sector, expand your knowledge of financial institutions and take advantage of practical opportunities to apply your knowledge.
In this degree, you’ll cover portfolio management and lending and risk management, as well as money markets and financial management.

You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.
Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)
Qualifications
Entry level 1: | An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and achieved a weighted average mark (WAM) of 60 or an equivalent grade point average (GPA) as approved by the faculty. Applicants will be ranked and selected based on their entire academic record. |
Entry level 2: | An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of 60, or equivalent qualifications and experience approved by the faculty. OR An Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of 60, equivalent or qualifications and OR A four-year Australian bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) with a WAM of 60 or equivalent qualification and experience approved by the faculty OR Successful completion of a Monash University Graduate Certificate of Business |
Entry level 3: | An Australian bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of 60, or equivalent qualification and experience approved by the faculty, which has not been used as a basis for entry to another course within the Monash Business School. |

The course is structured in three parts. Part A. Advanced preparatory studies, Part B. Mastery knowledge and Part C. Application studies.

You may apply to transfer from another Monash course. Transfers are a competitive process. You may apply mid-year for available courses however consideration will be given as to whether you will be able to follow your course progression.
