Culturally Diverse Women - PDB1063

Culturally Diverse Women

Professional development short course

Move your understanding to action

While efforts continue to be made to address the issues of inequity for women at work, these efforts are not progressing at the same rate for all. Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women do not spring from the same starting block as others and this program is designed to identify how a woman’s cultural diversity creates barriers to progression at work.

If you identify as a culturally or linguistically diverse woman and want to understand how your diversity can impact your progression at work, we create a safe and supportive environment with a mixture of in-person, online and peer-to-peer learning and coaching that culminates in the involvement of your selected advocate at work to help implement your progression plan in your professional environment.

What you'll learn

Join the Culturally Diverse Women Program and take the first step to revaluing and repositioning your own cultural diversity, unlocking barriers to your career advancement as well.

How you'll learn

The program is delivered over five Masterclass sessions, that are designed to Inspire, Teach, Coach and Make a Commitment to Act in the sessions. It is 80% interaction and application and 20% learning. We find that this style mobilises participants to make real change for themselves. Together we form a community of practice - CALD women supporting CALD women. We also match you with an accountability partner within the session, so that you keep moving forward. All the sessions are connected both in content and action, so we are designing for your progress.

  • Masterclass 1: Identify your cultural heritage
  • Masterclass 2: Goal setting
  • Masterclass 3: Develop your online and offline brand
  • Masterclass 4: Creating advocacy inside your organisation
