The Master of Analytics is taught 100% online and combines critical and foundation analytical knowledge to produce graduates ready to confidently make informed business decisions through a data-driven approach. The course aims to educate beyond disciplines, incorporating introductory learning in the main areas of the field with flexible elective study.

You’ll gain an understanding of the various approaches to analytical thinking through a purposefully-designed course with a breadth of units that allow you to be highly adaptable to constantly-changing business landscapes. The course curriculum will see you gain knowledge in python programming and data modelling, while diving into specialist analytics areas of study including accounting analytics, data visualisation and data science.

Entry Requirements

You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.

Entry level 1

72 points to complete, 2 years part time

An Australian bachelor degree in a relevant discipline* or an equivalent qualification with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).

OR

An Australian bachelor degree or equivalent qualification with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 or equivalent Grade Point Average plus at least two years relevant work experience.

*relevant disciplines include: Accounting, Business Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics and Business.

Entry level 2

48 points to complete, 1.4 years part time

Monash University Graduate Certificate of Analytics with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60.

For entry into level 1 or 2, applicants must have successfully completed a first year undergraduate statistics unit, or provide evidence of qualifications/training or experience that the faculty considers to be equivalent.
