A Monash College Diploma of Science provides a pathway into the second year of a Monash University Science degree.*

Select subjects depending on your career goals and study subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Data Management and Psychology. These subjects will give you a head start for your science degree.

We work closely with the University to develop the curriculum so you will be prepared for your degree.

You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)

Qualifications

Domestic

Equivalent to Australian Year 12 (part 2).

International

Equivalent to Australian Year 11 (part 1) or Australian Year 12 (part 2).

Prerequisites

All applicants must satisfy the following prerequisites or their equivalents.

English Maths Sciences/Other
Australian VCE subjects Study score in units 3 and 4 (Australian Year 12) in English as an Additional Language (EAL): 30 or any other English: 25. Students must have successfully completed Mathematics to an Australian Year 11 equivalent standard. Students must have successfully completed Chemistry to an Australian Year 11 equivalent standard.

Diploma Part 1
IELTS: 5.5 overall (no band lower than 5.0) TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 52 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 15, Listening: 5, Reading: 5 and Speaking: 14 Equivalent approved English test

Diploma Part 2
IELTS: 6.0 overall (Writing not less than 6.0) TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 69 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21 Equivalent approved English test
