Your qualification will be a Bachelor of Communication Design
Communication design is a specialisation that combines graphic design, visual communication and digital media.
You’ll develop an understanding of how communication can be influenced through the creative process. You’ll also learn to develop and employ visualisation techniques that have the power to influence and persuade. Our course focuses on the theory and forms of key content across a variety of mediums including print, digital and interactive multimedia design. The skills and principles learnt throughout this course will open the doors to many career options.
Year 1: Immerse yourself in the studio and explore tools and techniques such as drawing and digital imaging. You’ll explore design theories and concepts – from historical typography to contemporary multimedia and everything in between.
Year 2: In your Year 2 design studios, you’ll have the freedom to further develop your knowledge of design or branch out into other areas of interest.
Year 3: Your final year focuses on the application of advanced problem design skills at a professional level. You’ll also work on your final project for the MADA Now graduating exhibition.
Great designers are great storytellers. Become the bold, imaginative communication designer who informs and motivates the world through creative visual storytelling.
