The economic system is complex and interconnected – and having the skills to navigate economic relationships using statistical data and methods with a view to informing economic decisions and policy making is key in today’s data-driven business landscape. This major will provide you with training in the mathematical and statistical foundations of econometrics, giving you the skills to understand the properties of the econometric methods that determine applied work. You can also complement your core units with elective units in computational mathematics, real analysis, mathematical economics and mathematical finance.
