Pre-arrival briefings
We want you to feel comfortable at Monash University from the moment you arrive. Pre-arrival briefings are held each semester for international students preparing to study at Monash.
Your families are also invited to participate in the briefings as we’ll share important information about life in Australia and studying at Monash. Due to the number of courses, we can't provide specific course information at these sessions.
You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions and hear from other Monash students before you start.
Topics include:
- what to pack & what to leave behind
- what to expect when you arrive
- finding accommodation
- cultural differences & life in Australia
- health & wellbeing
- academic & personal support services
- safety & security
- tips for a strong start to your studies
- orientation activities
- current students sharing their experiences.
If you missed a briefing, attend a webinar
We also run online webinars for those who can't attend a briefing. We cover the same topics and you have the chance to engage with our panellists with any questions you have.
Semester one webinars were held in January, but we’ll be running them again before semester two.
