You may have grown up in Australia or you might be visiting from overseas. Perhaps you spent time in the workforce before taking up study, or you might be arriving straight out of school. Whatever pathway you've taken, we hope you view your years at Monash as some of the most rewarding of your life.
And wherever you're heading, there are one or two things it helps to know about Monash before diving into campus life.
How do you enrol at Monash?
If you want to accept an offer to study at Monash, you do this by enrolling.
The steps you have to take to enrol at Monash will change depending on who you are and where you're coming from. You can find out how they apply to you by visiting the Get started website.
After you're enrolled, you need to get ready for Orientation Week.
If you're about to start a new course at Monash as an international student, you need to enrol online as soon as you receive confirmation from Monash University. This is usually when we issue you with a Confirmation of Enrolment.

Order your OSHC card
You should order your OSHC card as soon as you arrive in Australia, you will need to:
- nominate an Australian postal address for delivery
- present this membership card every time you visit a medical service provider.
Congratulations on your offer at Monash. Once you've enrolled in units you can start planning your Orientation Week activities. At Monash we want you to feel welcome and at home as soon as you arrive! Orientation Week is held in the week before teaching starts, and it's designed to help you get to know your new uni, your fellow students and your campus.
