Situated within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute, Green Steps is an award-winning not-for-profit environmental consulting and training provider to the private and public sector. The aim of all Green Steps programs is to enable participants to make their workplaces and work practices more environmentally sustainable.

It is our vision to equip people within every organisation to drive change from the inside and to play their part in a more sustainable future at work and beyond.

We do this by ensuring our training is practical, relevant and transformative. Our training helps people turn talk into sustainable action in their workplaces.

Green Steps is an initiative of the Monash Sustainable Development Institute.

Green Steps offers:

  • Environmental sustainability training for organisations and their people
  • Skilled university students as interns to support organisations on work-based sustainability projects.
  • Customised sustainability programs and training solutions for organisations through our Green Steps consultancy service.
  • A specialist sustainability education and industry engagement program for universities across Australia and the world.

Our impact on organisations and our inclusive training methodology has been recognised with a number of prestigious awards, including the Premier's Sustainability Award, the United Nations Association Education Award and the Banksia Environmental Award.
