Melbourne Development Circle - Linking head, heart and hands: Applying behavioural science for development presented by Dr Stefan Kaufman.
Nearly all development outcomes depend on changing human behaviour, and yet the recent behavioural science ‘revolution’ in public good work is only just beginning to influence the development sector.
Join the Melbourne Development Circle and BehaviourWorks Australia as we explore better practices in applying behavioural insights to address development challenge.
Stefan will provide an overview of the BehaviourWorks Australia (BWA) method which outlines a number of better practice steps and tools that apply behavioural thinking to problem identification, intervention development, piloting and implementation.
Together we will explore opportunities to apply these steps to development challenges. Stefan will also reflect on his study tour visit with members of the World Bank’s Behavioural Science for Development team as part of a project encouraging evidence-informed decision making in 2015.
