The Wings for Life Foundation was established back in 2004 to support research into treatment for spinal cord injuries and paraplegia.

When you participate in the Wings for Life World Run, you know you’re making an impact. 100% of all entry fees and all donations raised through fundraising campaigns go directly to life-changing spinal cord research projects and clinical trials at renowned universities and institutes worldwide.

The nonprofit Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation is a driving force behind the mission, and Red Bull covers the foundation’s administrative costs in full as well as costs for the Wings for Life World Run.

The Run

Location: Monash Freeway!

The 2019 Wings for Life World Run is no ordinary run. It’s a global race that takes place in more than 30 different locations around the world – Germany, Spain, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Argentina, Australia and more.

Runners from all countries start at the same time. So, where runners in New York start in the morning, runners in London start at around midday and here in Melbourne we start in the evening at 9.00pm.

And there’s no finish line. Instead, runners race to keep ahead of the Catcher Car that takes off 30 minutes after the start at 15km/h, steadily increasing its speed, precisely synced across the globe, until the last runners have been caught – the winners being the last male and female runner who are caught.

Join your fellow runners at Clayton and Caulfield Campus and build up your training to be your best at this event!

Mondays, Caulfield campus: Foyer, Building S

Tuesdays, Clayton campus: Tennis Pavilion

Bookings NOT required, just show upon the day! Info sessions will commence at 5.30pm, with the run session starting at 6pm.
