JJIPO@Monash official opening

With more than 40 per cent of the country’s ASX listed health science companies based in Victoria – and given the University’s international reputation for biomedical innovation – Monash becomes the Victorian headquarters of a new Johnson & Johnson Innovation Partnering Office (JJIPO@MONASH).

It’s the second hub of its kind in Australia, having previously launched in partnership with the Queensland Government and Queensland University of Technology in 2016.

The initiative comes at a time when the Victorian Government identifies medical technologies and pharmaceuticals as one of eight burgeoning sectors, employing 23,000 people across the state and generating $12.7 billion in revenue.

This new office will see industry leaders collaborating with Victorian researchers to turn today’s breakthrough into tomorrow’s commercial success.
