We seek to support
People with cognitive and emotional difficulties following an acquired brain injury (ABI).
Eligibility and requirements for admission
Clients can contact the clinic directly if they or a family member in need psychological help. An intake clinician will speak to you about your concerns. In addition, Doctors, allied health professionals and community agencies can refer clients for psychological assessment and treatment. A Mental Health Care Plan is not required.

Types of Assessment used
We use a variety of pencil and paper assessments, interview assessments, diary keeping and other neurological assessments to track ability and progression.
Types of Treatment used
Our Neurorehabilitation Clinic offers evidence-based rehabilitation and support for people with cognitive and emotional difficulties following an acquired brain injury (ABI). Services include:
- The Monash Memory Skills Group: a group program for people with memory problems following ABI.
- Individual cognitive rehabilitation: individual sessions to assist cognitive difficulties (eg. Memory, attention, problem solving) following ABI, offered face-to-face or via video conference (Skype or similar).
- Individual psychological therapy: individual sessions providing support with depression, anxiety, and/or emotional adjustment following an ABI, offered face-to-face or via video conference (Skype or similar).
