Salary

Monash Finance offers a range of competitive  salaries that are negotiated under Monash’s Enterprise Bargaining  Agreement. The agreement includes annual salary increases for most staff and  superannuation rates of 9% and 17% depending on the role.

A range of salary packaging options are also available to  staff, including:

Transport  and parking

Our offices can be  accessed in a range of ways. Free shuttle buses run between campuses, and there  are many public transport options to choose from - the Monash Commuter Club  provides a 10% discount on annual public transport tickets.

Monash supports  staff cycling to work with a range bike parking facilities and a Bike Arrival  Station at Clayton Campus. There are showering facilities at each of the  campuses.

Parking arrangements  will vary depending on your work location however most locations have on-campus  permit parking. Parking fees can be salary packaged.

Our offices

Our headquarters is a brand new architecturally designed six story building that has a 5 Star Green Star and 5 Star NABERS (design) rating. The building has excellent natural light to all sides, and features an on-site café, and multi-level undercover parking.

The building also includes large kitchens, lots of collaboration space and meeting rooms equipped with all the latest technology. There are also lots of breakout spaces for staff to work privately, and a shared decking area outside on the ground floor with bbqs, tables and seating.

Work/life  balance

Our flexible working conditions help you balance your work  and home life. Monash’s  working week is 36.75 hours and our normal hours of business are between  8am-6pm.

Currently around 14 per cent of our workforce is part-time.  We also offer contract and casual positions.

Monash Finance offers a wide range of leave options including  a reduced working year scheme for staff who  want to extend their leave options.

Staff  development

Monash Finance has a strong commitment to staff  development and learning. We offer  reimbursement of study fees and study leave for courses that benefit your role  and future career at the University.

Health and  wellbeing

Monash Finance regularly  participates in a variety of health and wellbeing initiatives including the10,000  step challenge and the Monash Games.

The University also  provides a range of health and wellbeing programs, sporting facilities and  services including sporting clubs, an aquatics facility, three on campus  fitness centres and much more.

Supporting  parents

Generous parental  leave options are available to staff. For the birth mother with 24-months or  more continuous service this includes maternity leave at full pay for the first  14 weeks and 60% pay for the remaining 38 weeks (total 12 months paid maternity  leave).

There are four  childcare centres across four of Monash’s campuses and Monash Finance provides  range of flexible work policies to support parents at work.

Spouse/domestic  partners are also eligible for some paid and unpaid leave options.

Environmental  initiatives

Monash Finance  values environmental and social sustainability and aims to practice and promote  sustainability.
