Alicia Frankovich will discuss her major solo exhibition at MUMA (6 October – 15 December 2018), which includes elements of her recent exhibition at the Kunstverein Düsseldorf, Outside Before Beyond, combined with new sculptural forms and performative sequences. Known for her performance-based works and sculpture, Frankovich's interest in post-humanist thinking sees her de-centre the experience of the audience through the medium of the exhibition itself.

Alicia Frankovich (b. New Zealand, 1980) obtained a BVA in sculpture at AUT, Auckland in 2002. She has undertaken various residencies including at AIR Antwerpen, ISCP New York, Firestation Dublin and Gertrude Contemporary, Melbourne. Frankovich has recently relocated to Australia after spending the last ten years living and working in Berlin. In 2012 she was short-listed for the Walters Prize, New Zealand’s premier contemporary arts prize.
