Are we part of a global democratic awakening? Isn't it time all Australians had a fair say in the decisions that affect us all? Tim van Gelder from online deliberative democracy platform yourview.org.au will join Direct Democracy exhibiting artist Carl Scrase and other members of Real Democracy Australia in a forum discussion. This will be followed by a participatory "direct democracy" experience facilitated by Real Democracy Australia.

Carl Scrase is a contemporary artist, writer, philosopher, curator, social entrepreneur, facilitator and consultant. He studied Fine Art at Monash University, graduating in 2008. He currently lives at Commonground Co-operative, a social change community that was established in 1984. Carl is involved with the worldwide Occupy movement and is an active member of Real Democracy Australia.
